Jim Noir U.S. Tour in December

Everyone’s favorite singing bowlered Brit, Jim Noir, is finally heading this way for his first American tour…. just in time for the holidays!

If you haven’t heard his debut, Tower of Love, it’s a jaunty little slice of Carnaby Street psychedelia falling somewhere between The Kinks and Super Furry Animals. (I profiled Jim Noir back in January, surely you all remember?) He got a real boost this summer when his song "Eanie Meany" was used in a Adidas ad that ran pretty much nonstop during the World Cup. Hopefully that won’t mean his shows will be full of drunk hooligans, but you never know. Here are the tour dates:

Dec 5 2006      Safari Sams     Los Angeles
Dec 6 2006     Spaceland     Silver Lake, California
Dec 7 2006     Popscene     San Francisco, California
Dec 8 2006     Chop Suey     Seattle, Washington

Dec 13 2006     Opera House     Toronto, Ontario

(also on the new Grey’s Anatomy soundtrack, which is actually quite good.)

  1. holy crap, the chalets, metric and ursula 1000 are on the soundtrack? i mean, i know the show uses lots of cool music, but i am impressed that they didn't just put a lot of sentimental pap on the soundtrack, you know, more bands like the fray.

  2. I believe "Eanie Meanie" was the Adidas ad; the Heineken ad was Pussycat Dolls. But both ran constantly during the World Cup. -Football Fact-checker
